My hard drive died this weekend, so I had to get it replaced. Which was annoying. Most of my files had been recently saved on my external, but it's annoying. It's akin to getting your wallet stolen. Losing the money and having your space violated is not good, but what's most annoying is having to cancel all the cards, file fraud reports, get a new driver's license. That's what I feel like I'm doing now.
You know what kills me the most? I realized the one thing I don't have any more is my bookmarks! I never thought to back them up. It was an ever shifting list of websites and blogs and shiny, pretty things that I found once and wanted to visit again. Some are easily found again, others not so much. Such is life, though, right? Res would think it's probably good for me.
While I was picking up my computer this evening I thought I'd splurge and get a scanner. I've been wanting one for a very long time and thought, what the hell. The photo of our favorite little president was the first I scanned. He was all stretched out in a spot of sun on my bed on Saturday. Had to take a pola.
Claire-
I can't believe how big Frank has grown! Something about that photo reminds me of Coco--I can't place it though. I thought it might be that the two cats have similar markings but then I couldn't find a picture of Coco. I looked through all of my photo albums but it turns out that I have no pictures of her, it was extremely upsetting! Do you see what I am saying about them?
Bummer about your computer!

Frank looks pretty sassy sans balls!

Poor Frank. Poor Frank's balls.

Speaking of Frank's balls...when are you mailing those to AG?
How do you make the Polaroid template for the pictures?

I'm not quite sure... I think this website has a way of doing, but I can't find the right link!
This is a real polaroid, though.
Oh. I found the link. Choose "Polaroid" in the Frame drop down.
Send me your address and I'll send you something. ;-)
Franklin Pierce is doing just fine, Chuckles. I'll let him know you were worried.

I was way WAY bummed about your computer. I also noticed that your bookmarks were gone but that in their stead you bought a piece of heavy accoutrement. Presumably for scanning "polas."
And since, Claire, you seemed to have allowed for a forum on Frank's balls, I just have to say that the most frightening thing about this whole process was when I came home to find a towel draped over the couch, as the vet had warned you about the possibility of "weeping." Eee gads.

hey claire,
you should check out http://del.icio.us/ -- i think you can create an account and keep all your bookmarks there, so you don't lose them when computers die. plus you can share bookmarks with friends, check out similars, etc etc. i dont have an account yet but my coworkers love it...

Frank is gi-mongous! Still, he remains quite the looker. Too bad the female cats will never know his charms nor does he know that the gene pools has been stopped for him.

Even Frank weeps for his balls. The poor guy.
Maybe this is not the kind of weeping you mean. Ew.
